Challenge

Spice Labs is one of the leading Blackberry and Android application developers. They have been working with Smaato since 2011 and their goal is to capitalise on Smaato’s Mediation ability to fully optimise their inventory monetization.

Strategy/Execution

Spice Labs came on board in 2011 and actively engaged in campaign strategizing with publishers. They proceeded to send traffic to Smaato from the top 5 countries which were identified to have the greatest potential for maximum revenue generation. The Smaato and Spice Labs partnership brought about the multi-price tier – a strategy to maximize eCPM by directing traffic to Smaato at various price points on publisher mediation waterfall. In addition, the Smaato supply team has maintained a dynamic floor price which contributed to Spice Labs’ success in optimising their inventory.

Results

Spice Labs has enjoyed a steady increase in fill rate by 25%. Apart from that, the eCPM has also doubled. All these results were evident within a short span of one week.
