The Interview Process*

First things first: We won’t leave you hanging! Whether or not you are invited to interview at Smaato, you can expect a response to your submitted application. Below is an overview of the entire hiring process for a successful candidate:


Following the review of the application, the qualified candidate is invited to participate in a virtual video call with a Recruiter to assess fit. At this time, we will cover HR-related questions and review critical job components. The Recruiter will be the point of contact throughout the candidate’s interview process.


The first formal video interview may be conducted by a future peer or the Hiring Manager for the role. The aim of this round is to assess a candidate’s capability to succeed in the role, and to set expectations for a candidate for what the job will entail. For assessment purposes, this round may also include a live assessment or task, depending on the role.


In the third round, candidates will have a video call with the Hiring Manager, if they have not yet met them. Candidates can expect behavioral-based questions, and the interview will cover topics around career development, communication skills, and ownership.


For the final round, finalists will meet (virtually) with our CEO. This is an opportunity for candidates to learn about the company vision, and to ask any questions they may have about what they’ve learned so far. Offer letters to qualified candidates will be shared following a successful fourth round interview.

*Certain steps may vary depending on the position. Some roles may require an additional assignment to complete and submit before moving forward to the next round.
