Server Developer Mobile Ad Server

Job Location: Hamburg, Germany

We are looking for a Senior Developer to help building the Smaato mobile ad-server technology platform. This position involves hands-on coding on server side software development projects from inception to completion. Your experiences and skills in server side programming and database development are matched by your willingness to take on new challenges as we continuously expand the scope of Smaato’s products and services. You will be required to coordinate activities within the development team and your team leader.

Responsibilities:

• Work with in-house team to enhance ad-server technology platforms
• Work with offshore team on joint development projects
• Work closely with Project Managers to maintain project objectives and milestones
• Provide input on tools and processes for successful and rapid product development

Qualifications:

• University degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related discipline
• Excellent inter-personal and communication skills are a plus
• Strong knowledge of Server side programming a must (PHP, J2EE, AJAX)
• Experience with web based server architecture and development a must
• Prior experiences with online ad-server technology a strong plus
• Experience with software development, with at least 3 years in development and coding role
• Experience with mobile operating systems a plus (Symbian, Windows Mobile, Java)
• Experience with MS Project, MS Visio and MS Office
• Understanding of Mobile Client side programming languages (J2ME, C and C++)
• Knowledge of Oracle and MySQL database environments
• Familiarity with software engineering practices and one or more development processes
• English written and spoken a plus; German speaking skills a must
