General Accountant

Job Location: San Francisco, CA

Smaato is a pioneering mobile advertising company and a global leader in ad network mediation and optimization. The company provides mobile advertising services to mobile developers and mobile web content owners in over 200 countries and territories through partnerships with over 70 Ad Network partners globally.

We are looking for a General Accountant to work with our accounting team based in Germany on a wide range of tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Coordination and management of Accounts Receivable and cash applications
• Calculation and payments of commissions to sales employees
• Accounts Payable
• Journal entries and reconciliations (intercompany as well)
• Preparation of financial statements
• Audit preparation
• Cost accounting and revenue accounting
• Flexibility to help on other projects as necessary

Qualifications:

• BA or BS degree from accredited 4 year university
• Minimum 3 years experience
• Experience, strong working knowledge and understanding of accounting theory, policies, practices/procedures and audit practices/procedures
• Experience with reconciling general ledger accounts and bank accounts
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks
• Capable of working with different time zones
• Self directed but can work effectively in a team
