SVASE Announced Smaato is part of The 30 Hot Companies Selected For Product Debut Demos at Launch: Silicon Valley

Mountain View, CA May 25, 2007 The Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs (SVASE) today announced that Smaato is one of the 30 companies chosen to demo new products at Launch: Silicon Valley 2007. The event, which will be held June 5 at the Microsoft Campus here, is a venue for emerging technology companies to share their vision of the next big thing, while networking with an audience of Silicon Valley’s top movers and shakers.

With more than 160 companies applying from across the globe for presentation spots at Launch: Silicon Vallay, we feel confident we’ve seen some of the best and most exciting new startups out there in high growth sectors including digital media, next generation internet, life sciences and clean energy, said Chris Gill, President and CEO of SVASE.

In addition to the company presentations, the event will be keynoted by renowned industry and economic influencers: David Crane, Special Advisor to the Governor for Jobs and Economic Growth, will open the event with remarks on the state of startups in California; Reid Hoffman, veteran entrepreneur and founding CEO of LinkedIn - currently LinkedIn’s Chairman and President, Products - will deliver the event’s closing keynote.

Smaato is rapidly building a network of partners and promoters of its Open Mobile Advertising Platform SOMA. Just recently, Smaato announced its partnership with Third Screen Media in the US and now looks to Adconion Media Group as its partner in Europe.

Adconion Media Group has a broad reach given its global network of publishers, advertisers and agencies. Adconion will steer its ad-sales initiatives towards the new mobile advertising opportunity through SOMA to promote new, effective and highly targeted mobile ads. Adconion, headquartered in Munich and active worldwide, will sell, manage and deliver advertising for SOMA  (Smaato’s Open Mobile Advertising Platform) and its turnkey in-application advertising solution to agencies and brands in Europe.
